The REHUBS consortium gathered in Manlleu, Catalonia, on 7–8 October 2026 for its 3rd Physical Consortium Meeting, bringing partners together at Museu del Ter for two days of collaboration, technical exchange, and hands-on work.

The meeting focused on translating the project’s ongoing work into concrete next steps and preparing REHUBS solutions for implementation across its Demo and Replication Cases. It opened with a welcome from the host partners and coordination team. The Mayor of Manlleu also joined the meeting, welcoming partners to the city and wishing everyone a productive meeting.

From platform development to practical integration

Day 1 focused on progress, technical alignment, and integration. Partners reviewed the latest developments of the REHUBS Risk Assessment and Adaptation Platform (RAAP), including its wireframe and system architecture, while defining priorities and actions for the coming months.

A Common Design Framework implementation workshop allowed partners to review solution mock-ups and user requirements, while a dedicated workshop on the Risk Assessment Methodology and RAAP chatbot needs explored how the project’s different tools can work together in practice. A hands-on user-story walkthrough demonstrated the journey from a user question to a RAAP response, helping the consortium identify integration needs and next steps.

The first day concluded with a guided visit to Museu del Ter, offering participants the opportunity to discover the local setting hosting the meeting.

Preparing the next phase of REHUBS

Day 2 shifted the focus from local needs towards deployment preparation. Sessions addressed Rural Micro Hub activities, peer-to-peer networks and governance, including lessons learned, Year 2 planning and climate adaptation activities for Demo and Replication Cases.

Partners also worked on the Nature-based Solutions Factsheet Catalogue, selecting the most relevant solutions for the project’s Demo and Replicator Sites and aligning them with local challenges and needs.

A major part of the programme was dedicated to finalising the set-up of the Demo and Replication Cases, with discussions on deployment, methodology, responsibilities, integration activities, and KPI alignment.

A dedicated session had to do with covering D&C KPI monitoring, communication and dissemination needs, and the action plan for upcoming project activities.

The meeting concluded with an interactive REHUBS Bingo activity, which encouraged partners to exchange experiences, strengthen collaboration and identify potential synergies across the consortium in an engaging and informal setting.
